May. 11th, 2003

I ordered my first textbook for this Fall, and it arrived yesterday. It's been a long time since I was this excited when ripping open a package. I sat there for like 4 hours on the floor right after I opened it and read the first chapter and bits and pieces of the rest. Every time I pick it up I can't get myself to put it down. I went to a party last night, but all I could think about was "god I can't wait to get home and read more of Shankar." It's not that it's that wonderful of a book or anything, although I do like the style... I think it's more that it's been so long since I've had an actual class or textbook to read... so I miss that; plus it sort of symbolizes the beginning of my graduate career. Which I can't wait for. I've been in such a good mood lately... one more post to follow.

I know what you mean, I've been on hiatus from school for almost a year now and it sucks.

I added you off the intp list, by the way.

yeah, that's the same length of time I've been out of school. I took a year off, which has been good but I'm definitely ready to go back.

hmm, are you sure it wasn't another list? I'm on the intj list, but not intp. Although I have several friends who are intp.

Oh yes...

Apologies.

Funny that they should group them together.

Oh, I see. Thought you were talking about an interests list. Cool.

I don't find it surprising that they are grouped together. I think the e/i and the j/p distinctions are less important in determining personality than n/s and t/f.
